Prva privatna gimnazija (The First Private Secondary School) was founded in Croatia in 1993. It lasts for four years with great emphasis on a great number of extracurricular activities in their free time.

Obligatory curriculum

Informal education (extracurricular activities) are definitely something students enjoy most. There they can express their juvenile enterprising spirit, creativity and imagination. Our school's drama group, school band, young journalists' group which publishes a school paper every year, literary and drama groups in foreign languages, school's travels round Europe – all of these help to create a feeling of community, friendship and mutual loyalty.  Unfortunately, nowadays young people tend to be alienated and aggressive so we try to «direct» their free time in a useful way.
